Don't Ignore Highett

Residents of Bayside, Glen Eira, and Kingston deserve modern, well-funded community infrastructure. But when the Labor Government cut $100 million of infrastructure funding, our community was left to deal with the consequences.

One of the most affected projects is the long-overdue upgrade of the Peterson Reserve sports ground in Highett. Despite years of advocacy the facilities remain outdated, especially for women’s sport.

At both the 2022 and 2025 elections, we committed to fixing this. Earlier this year, we pledged $3 million to deliver the modern sporting facilities that the Highett West Cricket Club, Hampton Hammers Football Netball Club, and East Sandringham Junior Football Club need.

With support from the Federal Government, we can finally deliver the infrastructure Highett needs, and ensure women's sport gets the upgrades so they're not left behind.
