Democracy isn’t a spectator sport, and we want to make sure the next generation of Goldstein residents are part of defining Australia’s future.

We offer internships to a select number of high school students, recent graduates, and interested young people who want to contribute to their community while developing valuable skills and experience.

Internships are a chance to gain firsthand exposure to the day-to-day work of a Member of Parliament and their electorate team – from supporting local constituents to assisting with policy development, community engagement and more.

As an intern, you may be involved in:

  • Researching local and national policy issues
  • Assisting with community outreach and correspondence
  • Supporting electorate casework and constituent services
  • Drafting communications and social media content
  • Help prepare for events, meetings, or mobile offices
  • Attending public events and engaging with local stakeholders

Internships are typically part-time, flexible around study or work commitments, and can be tailored to meet university course requirements or personal development goals.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are enthusiastic, organised, and committed to serving our local community. This is a valuable opportunity to build real-world experience, contribute to your community, and better understand how decisions made in Parliament affect the lives of everyday Australians.

To express your interest or learn more about available opportunities, please email a short summary of your background and why you're interested in an internship, your relevant availability, and a CV to [email protected] and we will be in touch.
