Goldstein residents celebrating a special birthday or wedding anniversary can receive a personal message of congratulations from Tim, the Prime Minister, the Governor-General, and His Majesty The King.

These commemorative messages are a meaningful way to recognise important milestones and celebrate with loved ones.

Wedding Anniversaries

Goldstein residents can receive a message from:

  • Hon Tim Wilson MP, the Pime Minister and the Governor-General on your 50th wedding anniversary and every year after.
  • The King on your 60th wedding anniversary, and every fifth year after (e.g. 65th, 70th, etc.).

Birthdays

Goldstein residents can receive a message from:

  • Hon Tim Wilson MP and the Prime Minister on your 90th birthday and every year after
  • The Governor-General on your 100th birthday and every year after.
  • The King on your 100th birthday, and every fifth year after (e.g. 105th, 110th, etc.).

 


Arranging a Message

You can request an anniversary or birthday message at least two months before the celebration.

Belated Messages

Belated messages can also be arranged up to six months after the birthday or anniversary has passed.

If you missed out on a message from The King for a 60th wedding anniversary or 100th birthday, you may request one at the next opportunity (e.g. your 61st anniversary or 101st birthday). Following that, the next eligible milestone will be your 65th wedding anniversary or 105th birthday.

What You’ll Need to Provide

To process your request, you’ll need to provide details such as:

For wedding anniversaries:

  1. Full names and dates of birth of both people
  2. Current address
  3. Place and date of marriage
  4. Supporting documentation (marriage certificate or a statutory declaration*)

For birthdays:

  1. Full name and date of birth of the recipient
  2. Current address
  3. Place of birth
  4. Supporting documentation (birth certificate, drivers’ licence, passport – current/expired or a statutory declaration*)

*Statutory declaration from someone with personal knowledge, declaring:

  • The full names and date of marriage (for anniversaries), or
  • The full name and date of birth (for birthdays)

Statutory declaration forms are available at any Australia Post outlet or online from the Attorney-General’s Department.
