Tim Wilson: Today we had the National Accounts published, which highlight and confirm what Australians are living: that Australians are falling backwards under the Albanese active inflation agenda.

Australian households are struggling to make their bills pay. They're struggling to make ends meet. When Australian households are struggling to be able to make ends meet, they are feeling the pressure and the pain of ongoing inflation as a consequence of the government's economic model.

The Treasurer is out there boasting about these numbers, but I can tell you that there is not a single small business that's going to the wall that shares his enthusiasm.

Australian households, and those sitting around the kitchen tables of the nation know that headline numbers aren't translating to improved living standards, and even more than that, Australians sitting around the kitchen tables of the nation know that there is a serious risk of interest rate hikes because of the Albanese government's active inflation agenda.

The Albanese government is addicted to spending, and the more it spends, the more it stokes inflation, the more it then goes on taxes inflation, then spends inflation in a vicious cycle.

Australian households are going backwards. Australian small businesses are being pushed to the wall, and while the government continues to spend more than 30%, or a third, since coming to government, Australian households will continue to experience the pain of the Albanese active inflation agenda.

Thank you very much.
