I warmly invite your school to participate in the Goldstein Christmas & Hanukkah Card competition.

Each year the Goldstein Electorate Office circulates a joint Christmas & Hanukkah card to the 65,000 households across the community.

It is a Goldstein tradition to use the card as an opportunity to celebrate young local artists. The competition gives local primary school students the opportunity to design the cover of the card and have their artwork celebrated by their school, neighbours and wider community. Students are invited to submit entries using our template, drawing an image meaningful to them on the theme of this year: Christmas/Hanukkah In My Neighbourhood.

From the entries received, finalists will be selected. Two winners will be chosen, one for Christmas and one for Hanukkah. The winners will have their artwork appear on each side of the card’s external covers, with additional honourable mentions to feature inside the card. Judging will be conducted by a local panel of artists and myself. Winners will each receive a book prize, and honourable mentions will receive certificates at a morning tea for finalists, family members and friends, as well as teachers.

The template can be downloaded here. We can provide printed copies if required.

Entries must be submitted by 5pm, 30 October 2026.
