An elected Liberal Government will contribute $3 million towards the construction of new change rooms, social areas, and storage facilities as part of a planned redevelopment at Peterson Street Reserve in Highett.

Liberal candidate for Goldstein, Tim Wilson, has secured this commitment to ensure that all players at Highett West Cricket Club, Hampton Hammers Football Netball Club, and East Sandringham Junior Football Club can enjoy modern facilities, and female footballers continue to feel welcome playing the sport they love.

“I’ve been listening to players and local families from the Highett West Cricket Club, Hampton Hammers Football Netball Club, and East Sandringham Junior Football Club, and I know how important it is to encourage participation in local sport, particularly amongst women,” Mr Wilson said.

“Peterson Street Reserve is an important local facility for our community, and we want it to continue to be a welcoming space for local athletes to socialise, train and compete.”

This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to strengthen local communities and get Australia back on track.
